Photography Expeditions
A photography expedition is planned differently from a sightseeing tour. Days are built around first and last light, vehicles stop when the frame appears, and the difficult part — permission to photograph inside a morung, a monastery or a family kitchen — is arranged in advance by people the community already knows.
Route Focus
Three strands, usually combined: cultural and portrait work in tribal villages, ceremony and festival coverage, and wildlife and landscape sessions in the parks and river country.
Pre-dawn departures, a long midday break for review and backup, and late-afternoon sessions. Accommodation is chosen for proximity to the location rather than comfort ranking where the two conflict — and we tell you when that trade-off applies.
Portrait work depends on relationships. We ask on your behalf, explain how images will be used, and avoid situations where photography would be intrusive — including rituals that are closed to visitors.

They are private. Group photography trips force compromises on timing and position; a private journey lets the day move with the light and the party's priorities.
Often yes, with permission arranged beforehand. Some rituals and interiors are closed, and we will say so rather than negotiating access that a community does not want to give.
