Specialist Journeys · Abode of Clouds
Meghalaya is the Khasi, Jaintia and Garo hill country — pine ridges, sandstone gorges, the wettest places on earth and living root bridges grown over generations. This hub gathers our Khasi cultural expeditions, root-bridge field journeys, Mawphlang sacred-grove walks and boutique stays across the state.

The double-decker living root bridge at Nongriat; Shillong's pine cafés and Khasi music; the gorges and waterfalls of Cherrapunji; the translucent Umngot at Dawki; sacred groves and the matrilineal Khasi-Jaintia culture.
October–April is dry, cool and clear — the best time for treks. June–September is the famous monsoon — dramatic, green, but slippery underfoot. December offers crisp days and the cleanest skies.
Two nights in Shillong, two nights at Cherrapunji (one in Nongriat village if you trek the root bridge), one or two nights at Dawki. Guwahati is the gateway (3 hours from Shillong; helicopter available).
Five days for a core circuit; seven to nine days for a slower, boutique-led version that includes the Jaintia Hills and Mawphlang sacred forest.
